We the Citizens 2: Policy & Advocacy in Crisis

On Wed 22 Apr, the Singapore Policy Journal and CAPE brought together Prof. Donald Low, Prof. Kenneth Paul Tan, Kirsten Han and Kokila Annamalai for a virtual panel, continuing our ongoing conversation on changemaking in the midst of COVID-19. Taking questions from a live audience of 500 participants, the speakers drew on their richly diverse expertise in academia, policy, journalism and activism to discuss the pragmatics of advocacy in Singapore. They highlighted the structural issues and policy gaps exposed by the outbreak of COVID-19, shedding light on the relationship between frontline advocacy and the inner workings of policymaking.
